Supply List for Visible Mending Class

Required Materials:

• Ripped jeans, a ripped piece of clothing, or a piece of cloth with a tear

• Fabric scraps (for patching—cotton, denim, linen, etc.)

• Embroidery floss or sashiko thread (various colors)

• Hand-sewing needles (embroidery or sashiko needles)

• Thimble (optional but helpful for thicker fabrics)

• Fabric scissors

• Chalk or fabric marking pen

• Pins or clips

• Small embroidery hoop (optional for added stability)

• Fusible interfacing or fabric glue (optional for securing patches before stitching)

Optional Materials:

• Decorative beads or buttons

• Iron and ironing board (for fusible interfacing or pressing stitches)

• Darning mushroom or small embroidery hoop (for mending knits or curved areas)

• Washi tape or painter’s tape (for guiding stitches)
