This is Part Three of a Four Part course offered on Saturdays, May 17, 2025 from 10:00 - 3:00

Welcome to the world of machine quilting. You are entering the realm of exploration, discovery, and the fun of
doodling with your sewing machine. Machine free motion quilting is a fun and creative process and allows you to
finish your projects with your own vision of creativity. In this class you will be able to work at your own pace and at
your own comfort level.

This class is intended to be a fun and creative experience in which you will become comfortable with the art of free
motion quilting. You also will learn beginning ruler work to create carefully planned designs to enhance your free
motion quilting.

Basic tools:

Sewing machine, walking foot, darning foot, ruler foot
Extension table for your machine (required)
Supreme Slider (optional)
Machingers quilters’ gloves (optional) - Available at PQW

Supplies you will need:

For each class 2 fat quarter size quilt sandwiches - solid color or muslin, no prints
Thread, contrasting color to fabric - I recommend a 50 wt thread such as Aurifil
Thread snips, scissors
Quilting ruler and fabric marker or Friction pen
Machine quilting ruler

Other supplies you will need:

Sketch pad and pencil

Before coming to class:

Make sure that your machine is clean and in good running order with a new needle
Have 3 bobbins filled with the same thread that you will be using on the top
Have your quilt sandwiches layered, basted, and ready for quilting

Other:

Please arrive a little early to allow time to set up your machine

Class time allows for a half-hour lunch break. Prescott Quilt Works has a Refrigerator and a microwave for your use. There are also several eateries close to the shop for take-out and eat in.

Reserve your seat for free! Select date, add name, and click "add to cart", check out in order to save your reservation. Prior to class, pick up the supply list and pay the $50 Class fee (cash or check)
