Plus print out the Sewing Pattern Instructions just under the free download button Fabric requirements.
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO TAPE ALL THOSE PAGES, COPIES OF THE PATTERN ARE AVAILABLE AT THE SHOP FOR THE COST OF PRINTING.
Finished quilt – 54” x 72” (This is the minimum size to fit the pattern) OR
Outside – 3 yards
Batting - 3 yards
Lining - 3 yards
With the above yardage, wash outside and lining fabric, then sandwich it together, quilt it, zigzag the raw edges, and wash and dry it. You do not want it to shrink after you make your coat.
Binding: ½ yard - outside edges and pocket (something that coordinates with the quilt)
Bias Binding: ½ yard - inside to cover seams – (either the same as backing/lining or something that goes with it)
Other Supplies:
Thread that matches the front and back of “quilt.”
Paper scissors
Fabric scissors
Pins
Wonder clips (optional)
Machine needles – 90/14
Hand sewing needle (for sewing most of the bias binding)
5-6 pieces of printer paper to adjust the length of pattern and to trace the pocket
Pencil
